The worst bit about storing piles of paperwork was that receipts and invoices could easily go missing, meaning that you lost out on vital business expenses. With the use of cloud storage you can now store your receipts and invoices electronically.
What is cloud storage?
Cloud storage is like an electronic filing cabinet. As long as you have an internet connection you can access your stored receipts and invoices. It’s also really simple and easy to upload the documents. You can even snap a picture as you spend so that you don’t forget to save them safely.
What software do I use?
At Long White Cloud Accounting we use Dext to keep track of all of our clients expenses. Simply download an app to your mobile phone, take a picture of the receipt or invoice and it will upload to the cloud. If you have invoices coming into your inbox you can forward them to your own dedicated Dext inbox providing there’s a PDF or image attached or the invoice is within the body of the email. You also have the option to login via your computer and upload from your files.
Integration
Dext also integrates with Xero accounting software so that all your expenses pull through ready for reconciliation. Using Dext and Xero together means that we are MTD compliant. It also gives you access to your financial data in real time from wherever you have an internet connection. No need to wait around to make those important business decisions and no need for us to chase you for missing items if you upload them all to the cloud.
